Roles and Responsibilities;

  1. Administration
  • Responsible for maintaining the physical appearance of the building and grounds as assigned by management. May include some building maintenance.
  • Responsible for supervision of the service provider’s roles and appraisal of their day to day operations.
  • Responsible for courteous, efficient customer service conduct at all times.
  • Handle resident issues efficiently and effectively while maintaining Octagon standard of professionalism.
  • Responsible for the preparation of vacant units for occupancy.
  • Thorough knowledge of company policies and procedures and community policies.
  • Responsible for reporting any unusual or extraordinary circumstances regarding the residents or the property.
  • Responsible for the care, maintenance and inventory of all supplies and equipment owned by the property and/or the management company.
  • Responsible for operating within OSHA (Occupational Safety & Health Act No.15 of 2007 of Laws of Kenya) standards and company safety policies at all times.
  • Comply with all industry Fair Housing rules.
  • May be responsible to work on an on-call basis.
  • Prepare Monthly maintenance reports addressed to the Facility Manager.
  • Anything else that the Property Manager feels may fall into the Caretakers job description
  • Carry out administration work as and when instructed
  • Assist in supervision
  • Follow up on tenants queries/complaints and ensure that they are closed
  • Ensure safety standards are followed as per County Council by laws


The Person;

  • For acceptable performance the position requires Technician 3 Certificate
  • 2 years relevant experience
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • People Skills
  • Good Computer Skills
